Wrap-Up Time || January Reads.

Hello people! It’s my first time doing a wrap-up post so reminding you in advance to bear with me. So how are you all??? Feeling better? Are you having a nice day/night?? I am having a good time just being back to blogging. I know that I have to talk about my recent shift to another country and stuff but I don’t feel like writing about it so that post is just sitting with a title and I still have to write in it, that will take some time. For now, let’s wrap up my January, shall we?

I have no idea what to do in this wrap-up post, I have never done this. So I will just wrap up every aspect of my life here and I think I will start with this blog. So here goes nothing! Let’s go, people!!!

Blog:

So I returned to my blog this January. By returning, I mean, I was writing and vanishing and writing again in the past 2 years but this year I have decided to take blogging more seriously. So I just started again now. The past month has been very slow with blogging as I am trying to start off slow. I have written 3 blogs and 2 story blogs.

The views on my blog last month were 1100 (I am shocked that it is this much. I expected 100 or even fewer views.)

Well yeah, that’s that. I am so sorry for this awkward blogging style. I am trying to make a format here but it’s confusing. For now, let’s go to the Bookish Part!

TBR Accomplishments:

These were the books that I wanted to read. I am so awesome🤭 that I actually completed 16 books last month. I will be categorizing them in their respective ratings but before that let me show you what I read.

You don’t need to compare and see which books I didn’t read. I will help you. I didn’t read From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Instead of those two books, I ended up reading the novella of the Shatter Me Series; Destroy Me as the month was already done (read it on the 31st) and I didn’t want to continue a big fat book to February so I didn’t start the other two books and I am glad I didn’t because I just wanted to continue to Shatter Me Series (IN LOVE WITH THAT SERIES). So let’s go ahead and categorize the books I read in their respective ratings.

Note: I will not be posting any information on the books I will be reviewing. Book summaries or reviews will be provided for books that won’t be having a review or the review will take a longer time to come. (Creating a format so bear with me AGAIN!)

•Books I read and their Ratings.

5 STARS ~ LOVED THESE BOOKS MORE THAN MY LIFE 💙.

Death Note (Volume 6) by Takeshi Obata: ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟/5 Stars.

So I have just started reading Manga and this is my first manga series. It’s a 13-book series about a boy who acquires a death note, this is a book where after writing the name of someone you want to kill that person will die BUT (there is always a BUT) you have to know the person’s real name and face to kill them. The boy Light gets the notebook and starts killing criminals one after the other and the story revolves around finding the culprit who is killing the criminals. This book in the series had me weeping. I was weeping for an entire day because a certain part broke my heart and the characterization and presentation of the plot is very good in this book. (Will be posting a review after the series is over).

Destroy Me (Shatter Me Series, 1.5) by Tahereh Mafi: ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟/5 Stars.

This is the novella in the Shatter me Series and if I didn’t love this I don’t know what I have ever loved in this world. Unlike the first book, this novella was much more mature and it engaged me to keep on reading the series in one go. The novella was from Aaron Warner’s POV (the Main Male Character) and it was really really good. It showed the “Humane” side of him that made me fall in love with the character. (No Reviews will be up for Novellas, sorry).

And Every Morning The Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrick Backman: ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟/5 Stars.

I can’t sum up what and how this book made me feel in this blog, I will make a dedicated blog on this book. IT DESERVES IT!!

4 Stars ~ LIKED THE BOOKS BUT NOT THE BEST FOR ME.

Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars.

Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars. (Review out already).

Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone (Harry Potter Series, #1) by J.K Rowling: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Stars.

Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter Series, #2) by J.K Rowling: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Stars.

No review will be given for the Harry Potter Series.

Son of Neptune (The Heroes Of Olympus, #2) by Rick Riordan: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Stars.

The End (A Series Of Unfortunate Events, #13) by Lemony Snicket: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Stars.

3 Stars ~ IT WAS NICE BUT NOT MY TYPE/TASTE.

Crooked House by Agatha Christie: ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars.

Shatter Me (Shatter Me Series, #1) by Tahereh Mafi: ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars.

The Last Battle (The Chronicles Of Narnia, #7) by C.S. Lewis: ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars.

The Grim Grotto (A Series Of Unfortunate Events, #11) by Lemony Snicket: ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars.

The Penultimate Peril (A Series Of Unfortunate Events, #12) by Lemony Snicket: ⭐⭐⭐.5 Stars.

Death Note (Volume 7) by Takeshi Obata: ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars.

The Demigod Diaries (The Heroes Of Olympus, #1.5) by Rick Riordan: ⭐⭐⭐/5 Stars.

So now we go to the last part of this blog and that is…

The Bookish StoryGraph Wrap Up.

This is my StoryGraph wrap-up for January which shows how many pages I read, how fast I was, and what format I used most (Audiobooks🫣🤫).

I have been inclined to read Middle-Grade books a lot as they make me feel quite relaxed and happy. Also, my mood was Adventurous and my TBR already suggests that for sure.

These days I am using Audiobooks to read mostly because I am super exhausted from studying and completing books with words in them is so hard for me especially if the word formats are tiny, then I am dead. Due to all that pressure, I decided to try audiobooks and I loved it! So I am usually reading Epub/Paperback with the Audiobook and that’s a lot LESS STRESSFUL!

I participated in the Story Graph January Pages Challenge in which we had to log at least 1 page or 1 minute of an audiobook every day. I did that and it made me so productive, I actually read every day!

So will be posting reviews and updates. Hope you liked this post. New blogs and posts will be coming up soon!
