Scholar’s Key || My Magical Readathon Restart.

Hello people!! How are you doing? How is life?? I am back again with a whole series of blogs related to my favorite readathon of all time. I restarted the entire readathon so that I can enjoy, have fun and also keep track of my guild points. So come along with me and find out what this readathon is and why I am restarting it. So let’s go people, shall we?

So Scholar’s Key is like the building of character that you will be portraying in the orilium academy where in this readathon you are going to study. It’s like Hogwarts from Harry Potter but the world was created differently as J.K. Rowling has some very harmful opinions about Trans people that are not appreciated by anyone (ESPECIALLY ME!)

In scholars key, you have to build your character and have to read books for whatever you choose for the character. For example, if your character is from the city, you have to read a book based on a city or town area.

To help you understand all this better, I will be embedding her video below.

Check this out to understand what all this is, I can’t explain everything…sorry🙈.

So let’s see what my character is like and what I am reading for it! Let’s go!!

Character Description:

Name: Jadis Moonfall.

Guild: The Mind Walkers

Calling: Demonology

Background: Wilding.

Province: Dark Meadow

Heritage: Ilitrian.

Lunar Phase at Birth: Blood Moon.

Conduit: Staff.

Guild’s Legacy: Faewild Plane.

So here is my Scholar’s Key form all completed!!!

The name Jadis Moonfall really had me intrigued and I couldn’t stop myself from having that name (if it isn’t obvious!)

I was sorted in The Mind Walkers Guild through the Choices paper and took up the Demonology Calling because it just made me feel all gothic and dark and I love dark stuff!!!

•Books I have to read to build my character and complete Scholar’s Key:

Everything after the calling and except the Lunar Phase At Birth has a book prompt that I have to complete to secure the features of the character and also because it is very fun!!!!

1. Background: Wilding.

Prompt: Read a book set in a Forest area or outside.

The Grim Grotto by Lemony Snicket (A Series Of Unfortunate Events, #11).

So for this prompt, I read The Grim Grotto (if you have seen my last blog you would know that I have had this book in this month’s TBR). This book is wholly written in underwater. The Grim Grotto is the 11th book in A Series Of Unfortunate Events. I have been reading this series for a year and my aim was to complete it this month and by the time you read this blog, let me tell you that for the first time in so LONG…I did succeed. I have finished the Grim Grotto (Review coming soon) and I have already finished this prompt.

2. Province: Dark Meadow.

Prompt: Dark Academia.

The End by Lemony Snicket (A Series Of Unfortunate Events, #13)

This is the thirteenth and the last installment in the series. A Series Of Unfortunate Events is classified as Classic Book and subcategorized in Dark Academia due to its heavy and dark-themed plot in all the books. Even the last book is very dark and sad. I have fortunately completed this book too. This series was one of the most depressing and sad series I have ever read and I couldn’t be happier now that it’s over.

(Review coming up soon).

3. Heritage: Ilitrian.

Prompt: Book with Crow on the Cover or Title or A Red Cover.

The Penultimate Peril by Lemony Snicket (A Series Of Unfortunate Events, #12).

I couldn’t find a book with a crow on the cover or title that intrigued me enough to pick it up so I chose a red cover and as I was dying to complete this depressing yet nice series, I chose this book. The Penultimate Peril is the twelfth installment of this series and unless you think of me as a crazy lunatic who reads book 13 before book 12 then you must have guessed that I am already done with this book too. It was a good book but the ending was so hopeless. It was hopeless like no hope for the book but by hopeless I mean no hope for the characters. I am glad to be done with this series and once I post the entire series review trust me, you will be happy to see me happy.

~I will be posting big blogs with mini-reviews of the books. I think it will take 4 blogs to complete all 13 installments’ reviews.

4. Conduit: Staff.

Prompt: A Book From an On-going Series.

The Mark Of Athena by Rick Riordan (The Heroes Of Olympus series, #3).

This is the 3rd book in the Heroes of Olympus series. I have been reading Percy Jackson since the start of last June. I finished The Percy Jackson and The Olympians. And now I am on the 3rd book of this series. I haven’t read it yet but I will read it in February. (February TBR blog coming soon). I will be updating when I finish this as a Story Blog.

5. Legacy: Faewild Plane.

Prompt: Horror Book or Book With Horror Elements.

No Exit by Taylor Adams.

This book is something I have no idea about. It was recommended to me by Devananda, a tiny Dracula friend of mine who gave me this book in the 5 Series & 5 Standalone challenge. I have seen this book categorized as a book with horror elements so here it is in this prompt as the selected book. I am reading anything that has horror elements at this point because I am very tired of finding books😂.

So will be posting reviews and updates. Hope you liked this post. New blogs and posts will be coming up soon!
