FALL READATHON ||LET’S GO SPOOKY!!

Hello people!!! Wondering where I am and what happened to me ?? Have I left WordPress and blogging?? NO. I HAVE NOT AND I CAN NEVER GIVE UP WRITING! Then where was I? Well…I have shifted to Africa Rwanda🤭🤭. I will elaborate in another good and properly written blog so please wait for it! For now let me show you how I get back to my reading schedule with the help of a readathon hosted by my very good friends @whatsonmy.bookshelf and @missnoveladdict so lets go!!!!!

Please email for credit!

So for the readathon,

I have to select 9 books for 9 different prompts and 3 bonus activities.

The readathon is from September 15 to October 31st so it is like a 1 and half-month readathon!

So below I will be adding the prompts and bonus activity templates and then will elaborate my TBR!

So now lets hope on to my TBR, I joined a bit late but as my maim aim is to get out of the slump and get my reading schedule back on track I don’t mind it much!

MY READER’S RETREAT FALL READATHON TBR.

Prompt 1: A Book With A Spooky House.

Book: White Is For Witching by Helen Oyeyemi.

This book just randomly popped up on my Goodreads page when I was searching for spooky house books and I was so intrigued by the storyline. The plot is so intricate and creepy, it’s about how the women of the Silver family all vanish turn by turn, and when the last woman; the mother of the main protagonist Miranda disappears, it’s her turn, and slowly she starts distancing away. from her family too only to end up vanishing leaving the others behind to tell the tale of her eerie disappearance!

I know it is interesting because even though I want to read it, I am just waiting for the right time to start it. I want to have enough proper time to start it!

Prompt 2: Book With Ghosts.

Book: The Ring by Koji Suzuki.

This is the Book Of The Month for BTOB Bookclub and also a book for the prompt. I watched the movies with my mom and I loved them!!! So now it’s time to read them. This is a 6 book series but I don’t know whether I can read all of them or not, just wish me luck for this one! This story is so damn scary, I remember hiding in my blanket while watching it. The plot is about a videotape that kills people in seven days if the person watches it. To survive the person who watches it has to do something specific and if they don’t, they die of heart failure. The death of four teenagers including his niece’s death catches the eye of a journalist who does some deep research on the tape and reveals some scary truths that should never have been discovered!

This movie is my favorite and I am so excited it’s in my October TBR!

*Edit: Already Read the book and loved it, wasn’t a horror but can say it was a mystery.

Prompt 3: A Book Published in September/October.

Book: Under The Whispering Door by TJ Klune.

This book is one of my most anticipated reads on 2022. @missnoveladdict has been losing her head to make me read TJ Klune and the way she is forcing me is also getting me more intrigued. I have not read the synopsis as I want to keep it a secret dive for myself! So go search the synopsis😌.

Prompt 4: A Book with Magic.

Book: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia, #2) by C.S. Lewis.

I am already done with this book. I really love the Narnia movie (if you haven’t seen them, GO WATCH THEM NOW!) Recently I bought the Narnia book set consisting of 7 books and I had finished the first one in August. I love the story so damn much and can’t wait to continue the series, I am actually reading a lot of series so will make a specially dedicated post on it later this week. I will try to get regular but I can’t promise you that 🤭. The review of this book and the first one will be out by the end of this month.

Prompt 5: A Book With A Serial Killer.

Book: Death Note (Death Note, #1) by Tsugumi Obha.

I was in a slump for a really long time and needed something to get over it. So I decided to start some Manga books. Death Note has been one of the must read series on all websites rating Mangas and the concept of having a book where you can write someone’s name (whose face you have seen) and they die instantly was so intriguing that here I am reading this! I started this as the first book of the readathon and completed it in 1 and half hour. The book was so fun to read. It did take me time to adjust to the reading style but it was the most refreshing read I have had in a long time.

Prompt 6: A Book with an Autumn Inspired Cover.

Book: People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry.

I am OBSESSED WITH EMILY HENRY!!! LIKE I LOVE HER AND HER BOOKS. I am so excited about this book! I got the audiobook for this book and I am trying to get more audiobook reading done. I will be starting this as soon as possible! I don’t know why I feel so giddy starting it! I won’t be giving you a summary because I haven’t seen it too🤭.

Prompt 7: Book With Vampires

Book: Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice.

This book is considered to be a classic and I love its plot that’s for sure! The storyline is so intriguing and it is something new! I will be starting this by the 3rd week as I want to be reading horror while Halloween comes in! So I will get in my groove and read it!

Prompt 8: A Book On Your TBR For More Than A Year.

Book: The Carnivorous Carnival (A Series Of Unfortunate Events, #9) by Lemony Snicket.

I have been reading A Series Of Unfortunate Events for over a year and this series is super long, it has 13 books!!! I am at last almost done with this series. I already finished this book and in the initial books the storyline was repetitive but since book 7 the story has changed a lot and I am loving it a lot! I finished this book in a day (taking the help of an audiobook, obviously!).

Prompt 9: Book With Supernatural Elements.

Book: My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix.

One of my MOST anticipated Halloween Books! I am dying to start it and I am so glad I get to read it now! I will be starting this just as soon as I am done with Twisted Hate (a book I am reading right now) I will hopefully get done with it tomorrow so YESS I WILL BE STARTING IT!!!

By the way, these books include my Two Bookclub’s Books Of The Month.

Dm @magical_booklush to join!!!

Well, that’s it! I can’t find anything much to say as I am already tired of typing so I will see you all later.
