DOROTHY IN THE LAND OF MONSTERS || NETGALLEY REVIEW.

Hello readers. How is your life going??? Is everything cool??? Today is a wonderful day, I am in total love with this day as it calm and soothing. No big problems, no tensions, just me and my lovely books and allergies that are making me sneeze. I have a long post in line and my allergies are worsening day by day. If I die by allergy please remember me. Now that I don’t feel so well let’s start this post, shall we??!

I am not feeling well and I am getting sicker by the day. I have been sneezing and with every sneeze, I feel like my brain will come out of my nose. I really need a big break from my life. This year and this life sucks. I miss seeing my nose in a non-swollen shape as it is red and swollen and in super pain. So on that note let’s start this post shall we?? Come along people.

I sincerely thank Garten Gevedon and Xpresso Blog Tours for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

•Official Summary:

Shifters, Zombies, and Vampires? Oh my!

My name is Dorothy Gale, and I think I might be dead.

When my dog Toto and I got swept up in a twister, we landed in hell. A very colorful hell. Like a rainbow dripping in blood. Now it looks as though this dreadful underworld plagued with vampires, zombies, and shifters will be the site of my eternal damnation.

They say this terrifying land called Oz isn’t hell or purgatory, that escape is possible, but first I must survive the journey down the blood-soaked yellow brick road to the only place in Oz where vampires dare not tread—The City of Emeralds.

With enchanted footwear and the help of my three new friends—a friendly zombie, a massive shifter lion, and a heartless axe murderer of evil night creatures who also happens to be the hottest guy I’ve ever seen—Toto and I have a fighting chance to make it to the Vampire Free Zone. When we get there, I must convince the most powerful wizard in this magical land of monsters to send us out of this radiant nightmare and return us to the world of the living. They say he’s just as frightening as this monstrous land, that he detests visitors, and even the most horrifying creatures cower in his presence, but I must seek him out. And when I find him, I’ll do whatever it takes to make him send me home.

•My Summary.

Dorothy and her bloodhound dog are living a dull life in a city of Kansas City but after a thunderous storm, she lands in a dreadful place which is full of Vampires, Zombies and Shifters that haunt people’s dream. Dorothy has to get out of this place before she is turned into a vampire or zombie. The terrifying land of Oz has blood dripped yellow road that takes her to Emerald City. On the road, she finds a friendly zombie, a massive lion shifter, and a heartless axe murderer. They embark on a journey on the road that leads to Emerald City to meet the Great Wizard Of Oz but can he give them what they desire??? And can he send Dorothy back???

•My Review.

This book was really funny and cute, I just loved the writing style and the content. This novel was one of the best recreations of The Oz world. The way it was written and the way the story was carved was so beautiful that I couldn’t get my head off this book. I literally drooled over this book for 1 and a half week. I had the worst book hangover that I have ever had in this novel. The story was simple. It was just like reading Dorothy in the land of Oz but with a Halloween touch. I was not so interested in this novel when I first started it but when I got to the 5th chapter, I was hooked. The novel was a bit too long and the author went to really great lengths to explain it and in my opinion, he over-explained it. The descriptions were too descriptive but it had its own beauty too. I did feel the novel was stretched and that 416 pages were not needed but I must say that however much they were, they were excellent. I took the 0.5 because of the lengthiness and the over explanations as they did make the novel somehow exhausting but trust me if you haven’t read this book you really need to. It’s the best in the market and it’s totally worth it. I am dying to read the second book in this series😍. I would give it a 5-hour book club discussion as this is a classic recreated and has some great features in it that make it unique and worth reading.

So that’s it, guys. It’s taking me time to adjust to my crazy life and it’s my dads birthday today so…🙈🙈🙈 I am very busy eating cake and enjoying my locked up life. Hope you all are safe and sound. Please stay at home, Covid is still out there and we all need to be alert. So until next time…
