BOOKISH FRIDAY || IT’S READING TIME!!! {9}

Hello people. I know I am back after a whole week but I couldn’t write much as I was super busy reading and getting ready for my online college studies. It’s time for me to get back to studying so I am reading as much as I can. I have been in total love with books for a long long time. This week was completely bookish for me. I had a lot of fun and I thought that this deserves to be shared. I am not feeling too well so let’s just get into it, shall we??? Come along people.

I have been very sick this week as I had another allergy attack that was bigger than ever. I am still weak with it as my diaphragm and chest are paining from all the sneezing and coughing. Today is a Saturday, I had to post this yesterday but as my weakness took over me. I could barely write and I won’t be able to write tomorrow too as it’s going to be 2 years to my grandfather’s death. I seriously can’t believe he is gone. There hasn’t been a day when I haven’t missed him and I don’t think there will be. I just want to stay alone for the day. Isolate and remember all the times when I could be with him and create some lovely memories but I didn’t. I need the guilt to take over me for at least a day. Now that it’s said, let’s startup.

Readers, let me explain the format of the post to you. I will first write about the books I read, then about the books, I am currently reading and then I will tell you what I wish to read next and then I will wrap up my week.

β€’What Did I Read??

Scooby-Doo Team-Up (Vol 1) by DC Comics.

As most of you know I have been reading the Scooby-Doo comics to keep myself out of the reading slump that this month had pushed me into. I have a special attachment to Scooby-doo so I decided to read its comics to explore my lovely yet unfortunate old times. I just finished this book and I have been in love with this series😍.

The Adventures Of Suppandi (by Tinkle.

5/5 Stars.

This book has been one of my mom’s favourite comics. She had a hardcover book of all Indian comics that she used to read all day long. I inherited my reading habit from her and if I got it from her, then I need to stay near my roots, right?? Well, here I am. This book was amazing. I loved it. It was so much fun and that’s the exact reason why I adore Indian literature. It’s just adorable and awesome.

Chacha Chaudhary (Digest 2) by Pran.

5/5 Stars.

Chacha Chaudhary is an old man with the brains of an Einstein and is assisted by Sabu, a guy with the body of the hulk. This story is mostly about wits and fun. I just loved it so much. It was like watching a comedy movie. Each story was weirder than the other and that was fantabulous. If you want to explore a country’s literature, keep India in the last because we have some extraordinary books that you can’t even believe exists in the world.

One Night @ The Call Center by Chetan Bhagat.

Well, well, I finished this lovely book and I can’t be any happier than I am. This book has me in pieces as I have a mixed review on it. I finished this book in 2 sittings and I…dont know what to say as I have to write a reviewπŸ˜’. Well, all I can say is, this book is a 50-50 for me and the review will be out on Thursday or Saturday. I don’t know when but it will be out soon so keep waiting and check out my site again and again✌.

β€’What Am I Reading???

Scooby-Doo Team-Up (vol 3) by DC Comics.

I have actually finished reading this novel on Saturday but for now, I will just keep it in the current reading list as my read list is too big to handle. I am loving this comic. It’s just so unique and each story gives me a beautiful memory flashback that I can’t stop reading it. I am dying to start volume 4 and those who love comics should definitely try this one, it’s wonderful.

Midnight In The Graveyard edited by Kenneth W. Cain.

Ok, I officially hate this book. It’s so boring man. I had such high expectations from it but it’s not that good at all. I am a pure horror reader and this one is not a book I could read and/or love. I think I might leave this book midway because it has no horror element. I feel like this book is for second-grade readers. I am a high school reader, I have loved horror more than my life and this book is nowhere near a good horror novel. All the short stories are super boring. I am not going to read it any further.

Welcome To The Dead House (Goosebumps) by R.L. Stine.

Well, if you don’t know this book, you should just leave this planet. Like seriously just leave right now. I tried Midnight In The Graveyard and it was a disaster so I decided to read something worth my time like this series. I have been meaning to read this series for a long time now and I am glad that I am starting it now. I can’t wait to get started. I am sure I will love it.

The Experiment by John Darnton.

I am not very excited to read this novel as I have a nervous breakdown going on but I am glad that I will be reading something. This book and the author is new for me so I think I am hesitating a little. I hope I like it. The story is intriguing but I am not just in a happy mood to read any suspense book. 😞

β€’What Will I Read In The Near Future???

Scooby-Doo Team-Up (Vol 4) by DC Comics.

Scooby-Doo makes me happy and reading these comics makes me feel a little better about my existence. I hope I can read more of these books in the future but for now I am dying to start the fourth volume of this series. I will end up finishing it by Wednesday, I think but whatever, I am still happy that I can read it peacefully.

A Murderous Tangle (A Seaside Knitters Society Mystery) by Sally Goldenbaum.

I am so excited to be reading this book. I love mystery books and I am glad I am getting to read one. I have been looking forward to this book for a really long time but I was so caught up with other books that I totally forgot about this honey. I will be starting this book this week so I hope I enjoy it and don’t get disappointed.

Stay Out Of The Basement (Goosebumps) by R.L. Stine.

I am so intrigued by this series and that sole reason has me into reading. This book is the second novel in this series and I want to read them all. I just can’t get my head off all the tragedies I have gone through in this month and I think I need to freshen up my love for books and what’s better than a lovely horror series to get me back on track. I really hope this series will get me back into reading in just a few days. (Hopefully…). I really need to get back on track.

I feel like reading something about animals and danger and fun and I don’t think there is anything better than Jurassic Park. I know you agree with me. I am trying to read as much as I can to distract myself and get back to my old myself that is missing right now. I am dying to start this series and I hope to do that by next Tuesday.

So these are my WWW books, now off to weekly wrap up.

β€’Weekly Wrap-Up.

My life is a living disaster, I had a super bad week and read somehow through it and that’s what I intend to do this week too. I can only say one thing.

I am miserable right now.’

So that’s it for today. I hope you had fun reading this post because I had a hard time deciding what to read and it was kind of cool to do this. I will take your leave now and be back soon with some crazy but nice posts so until then…

    1. I am going through terrible rhinitis allergy and I am feeling a little better than before about the breakdown. Books do help you out a lot, don’t they?? I will be posting regularly soon, I just don’t feel like writing now. 😞✌❀

  2. I hope this coming week is better for you Suzan. Allergies are the worst! They’re like a horrible cold that just lingers on, and on, and on…

    1. My week is still the same. It sucks being sick. I can’t eat anything or drink anything without doctors consent. My allergic reaction is sneezing so my chest, abdomen, head and diaphragm aches so much I feel like I will just die now. 😞
