Hello book buddies, how are you all doing today?? I am back again and I have some great news. The news is that I am almost out of my reading slump and this week I read quite a few books and did a lot of research on college, I will be talking about my college stuff very soon in one of my posts so get ready for that. I am so pumped now that I took a break from reading. I feel fresh and mindblowing. So without boring you with my stupid emotions, let’s start, shall we??
I was in a major depressive reading slump and I had no idea how to get out of it. I like knew I needed a different kind of book to get me out of it and I also knew that this book had to be a special one and luckily I have some friends who are magnificent geniuses like Pete who helped me find a free ebook on Amazon Prime for reading. So I got back from the worst slump and now I am kinda reading books. Let me not bore you any further and start this post so let’s go…
Readers, let me explain the format of the post to you. I will first write about the books I read, then about the books, I am currently reading and then I will tell you what I wish to read next and then I will wrap up my week.
•What Did I Read??
This book was my anti-slump trigger. I have always loved Akbar and Birbal and I got this book on Amazon Prime Reading and all thanks goes to Pete who showed me how to find free ebooks. I had so much fun reading these cute stories of Birbal’s wit, I took a step out of my reading slump and read a little more. This book is so awesome and it’s still free for Amazon Prime Customers so I will request you all to go and give the ancient Indian literature a try. Go ahead, buddies.
This was kind of boring. I love Archie comics but this was super boring and frustrating. I had no idea what I was reading and it didn’t feel like the old cute Archie comic. I miss the old comics of Archie and I wish I could buy them all because this was a disaster. A Big DiSASTER!!!
Well as I got kicked back in a reading slump because of the Archie Comic, I decided to read Akbar and Birbal again and took this one from Amazon Prime free ebooks. It was amazing 😍 like it always is!! I loved it so much and it was so good that I jumped out of my slump and got back to reading and I still urge you guys to try this book if you can.
I AT LAST finished this book. As you all probably know or should know that this was for my 88 Classics Challenge. I took more than a month to finish this book but I must say it was great. I loved it so much!!! This book has all rights to be called a classic because it is wonderful. Okay, I don’t want to say more as I have to write a review on it so Shhhshhh…..🤐😜.
•What Am I Reading??
This book was given to me by the publisher, it is a special request. This is my first special review assignment. I have to read this book and then read the second book that will be out soon. I have to review this and the upcoming title in this series so I decided to read this book now. I have only finished 7% of this book and it already seems promising. I am very excited to try it out. I can’t say anything more about them as I have to write a review on it so Shhhshhh again…🤐😜.
If you all don’t know then let me tell you that I love this series. Nancy Drew is my inspiration and my true love. This book has given me dreams that I always want to fulfil. I have a dream to have all the books of Nancy Drew series and the books are more than 100 so it’s gonna take a long time. I am reading this book to totally get out of my slump. No chance to go back because it is a mind-blowing series. I haven’t started it yet but I will read it.
I haven’t got ahead of 23% in this book and it’s because of J. K. Rowling. After she put out a controversial tweet, people started boycotting her and one of my friends warned me against posting about Harry Potter because in India people praise Harry Potter and they are super angry with J. K. Rowling for acting so irresponsibly so I had to immediately stop reading the book and avoid conversations on it. I had a talk about this with my dad and he told me that if I love the book and if I adore the series then why should I be scared to talk about it?? We don’t punish the child for its parent’s sins then why punish the series for its author’s sin?? So I will start reading it again soon.
•What I Will Be Reading In The Future??
As I said, special request. I am really excited about this book because it’s a little unique and quite cute. I am dying to see what’s in store for this story and I am hoping to fall in love with this series just like I am in love with Harry Potter. I will start this book soon as I have to review it in sometime. Wish me luck, people!!
I am already up for a Nancy Drew book so why not read the other one too?? Okay, I am asking too many questions. What I mean to say is I will read the other Nancy Drew book and get out of reading slump totally but I have to make sure that I am out of it totally (and besides, I love Nancy Drew and this book is my guilty pleasure so I am reading it🙈🤭).
I finish what I start and I love Harry Potter so it’s time I finish it and cry tears of blood. I want to get this series done and relive my beautiful memories. Leaving Harry Potter series midway doesn’t feel so good to me and besides, I will miss the great battle and also won’t be able to jeer at Dolores Umbridge and I want to join Dumbledore’s Army so I am completing this series no matter what the world says. I won’t give myself a punishment by not reliving my childhood. You accept it or not, this book does have a special place in your heart so be with it and avoid the author because she is wrong. Everybody is who they are and no matter what they do, they deserve a right to live peacefully.
•Weekly Wrap-Up.
I had a quite productive week if I compare with the last one. I was back to reading and I passed my exams with flying colours. I have been very busy looking for good colleges and I have been occupied with a lot of big upcoming posts and I am trying to blog regularly but the circumstances don’t let me do so. I didn’t have wifi for 2 days as the company’s system crashed so boom, I have to be working harder to read and write on my blog. So I guess I had a really good week. I hope you had a good week too and on this sleepy note I would like to end my post so TATA🙋♀️.
