Hola amigos. Here I am back again with a new author post. A new month has arrived and I decided to introduce a great author. This is a special series of posts where I will be specifically talking about this author and her book. I am so excited to come back with the second set of interview post. Books are all we ever need and if an author brings out a great book then I will definitely promote that author and their books. So without any further ado, let’s start this post shall we??

Authors always have a different personality and perspective of life and when it comes to writing, their work proves how different and unique they are. When we think about how an author writes a book or thinks about a story, we get different visuals and numerous ideas. An author’s life is very different from that of a normal person and we readers always want to know how they come up with such great stories. So what’s better than asking them. Let’s go, humans.
This is a post where I will introduce the author and talk about how I met her and got her interview. I will be informing you all about the upcoming posts relating to the author and some more details that I would like to add.

Well, I did say that I am cooking up some things with the author of Us…Mostly and I cooked up some great feast for you all. Introducing new authors and bloggers is the job of a blogger and trust me when I say this, I take my job very seriously. This author that I am introducing is close to my heart and life, so I won’t waste any more of your time and introduce the author now.

Now that you have got an official intro, let me give you an introduction in my point of view.
My Introduction .
In my opinion, Laila Bhaidani is not only a great writer but also a good person and a kind-hearted lady. She loves reading books just like all the bookworms and writes poetry too. Her first story, The Unsung Melody won the Femina Fast Fiction Contest and was published on their website. She lives in India with her cute dog Zoey and adores her father’s stories that inspired her to write. She has a degree in English Literature and Mass Communication. She challenged herself by writing short stories of different aspects and I must say this that I couldn’t be more proud to have a sister like her.
Yup, you all heard it right. She is my sister. My big sister. I welcome you all to the Khoja Family where you can find all types of people with different professions. She is my grandmother’s sister’s daughter. In true relation, she is my aunt but I call her Di (a way of saying sister in my language) so she is my sis.
How Did All This Happen??
The reason I told you about my family is that I needed you to understand how I met her. See, I am from Africa and I grew up there so I barely knew anyone in my family except for close relatives. My grandmother’s sisters that are my big Grandmother and small grandma (Laila’s mom) are my the most favourite people in my family. (That’s what I call them at home big and small because saying grandmother brings confusion).
One day my small grandmother meaning Laila’s mom came to my house and she had two books for my two big cousin sisters. I thought she bought them but then I found out that her daughter had written them. I was shocked. “We have an author in our family??” That was my first question. Being a crazy bookworm, I was shocked and amused. I saw the book and at once I wanted to talk to the author. I then found out about Laila Bhaidani. We talked and talked. I told her about my blog and books and she decided to courier me her book Us…Mostly.
I read the book and it was awesome then after a few phone calls and chats, we agreed on doing this interview set. She is a family member. When I can promote an author out of the family then why not inside the family?? After reading the book I really wanted to interview her she has a great writing style and if you guys think I am praising her because she is my sister then you are at a huge loss for misunderstanding my motive behind promoting her.
She is a great author who introduced me to an Indian perspective and culture. Being incompetent about India, I couldn’t be happier to see the Indian world through a lovely book.
