FADING MEMORIES & OLD HABITS. || JUST ABOUT ME.

Hey guys, how’s everything?? This isn’t a proper blog post like my other ones. I am just checking up on you all and talking about this month’s reading plan progress and my childhood. I know it’s stupid of me to do a post like this but it is better than being MIA or not doing posts at all. So before you guys get bored let me get you started on what I did in these 2 days of absolute absence from my blog. Let’s get started, shall we??

I had a great blast these two days and might come up with so many posts about them. So before I confuse you by jumbling up everything, I will take it day by day, so let’s get going, people.

Day 1 of MIA.

Phew, this was a busy and hectic day as always. My dad does a great load of LESS mess after we (my mom and I) had a chat with him telling him that if he takes it far he cleans it all up.😁 I usually blog at night time here, my blog posts come up at about 12:30 am to 2:00 am. So I did my blogging 2 nights ago and then watched the last movie of the Harry Potter Series. Now if I am reading Harry Potter books I gotta watch the movies too and besides, who wouldn’t want to watch Harry Potter? My post of Bookish Friday came out on Saturday although it’s about a Friday. I usually like to stay a day back on the blog that helps me not to mess up my posts and if I end up getting lazy and sulking all day I can still write it anyway. 🙈🙊 Don’t judge me like you aren’t lazy at all. I know you are lazy too but you just don’t prefer to show it. I’d rather prefer showing it than writing a boring post and obliging myself to post on the blog.

Well, back to the events, I posted my blog, finished my movie and drifted off to sleep at about 4 am in the morning. I usually sleep late, it’s been my habit since I came from Africa. I woke up the next morning more than refreshed and had a rather energetic day than I usually do. So I decided to clean the cupboard space that I hadn’t seen since I finished off my first hasty year of schooling in India. Oh, it was a sight to see. Covered in cobwebs and dirt. I am never so messy. I am studious and neat and when I looked at the cupboard I realised that there were so many things that had changed. A space full of cobwebs and a thick layer of dirt?? Is that me?? Is that who I claim to be?? Well, I decided to clean it and I ended up in tears because I saw some of my old stuff back from Africa. I was a huge art and crafts lover and I had collected some stuff that I still had but didn’t remember. I am so glad I cleaned it for I found my grandfather’s pictures of when he was an adult. Oh, he looked so cute. That old stuff struck me and gave me an idea about my 2nd day of MIA. Join me to find out. Come on, people.

Day 2 Of MIA.

I was very young and crazy. Well, crazy was surely the word I used to describe myself. Not having friends because they thought that my cancer was contagious (idiots that they were!!!) And because I was really an outcast heading from a middle-class family (mind me telling you, my family spent all their money just to treat me). No friends! A total outcast!! Books were my only sole friends. I remember taking books at home from my mosque’s library and doing a 24-hour Readathon. It was so cool. I would only get up to eat, take small breaks and did not use technology for 24 hours. It was awesome.

So I did that readathon today. It’s 4:12 am and I am going to bed so before I go, I will tell you how that readathon worked out.

BADA-BING!!! OFF TO MY SECRET READATHON DETAILS!!!

I suddenly had the mood to do a secret yet long readathon and it was actually great. I started my readathon at 12 pm in the afternoon after finishing all my chores and read through the whole afternoon and night until 11:30 pm. Mind me telling you that I had read for two hours from 3 am to 5 am the night before to compensate for the lost time doing chores. I had so much fun, just check out what I did.

• I finished The first book of the Harry Potter series namely; Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

• I finished another book related to The HP series called Quidditch Through Ages.

• I have started my second book of the Harry Potter Series namely; Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secrets. I have finished 19% of the book already.

• I also started Gulliver’s Travels that I finished 16% and will read more ahead.

•I also started another Harry Potter Series book called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them finished it 14% of the book.

This isn’t a detailed description I am just here talking about the books and why I was MIA.

Now those who don’t follow me on Goodreads are in a big loss here because they know the way I read, what I read and when I read. My Goodreads account reflects some books that I haven’t mentioned to you all in the blog, for example in my Bookish Friday post I didn’t mention reading Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them but I am reading it. You guys have no idea how weird I am, trust me, YOU HAVE NO IDEA. So here is the link of my Goodreads Account.

GOODREADS ACCOUNT

Just follow me here and see me go wild with books. I read like hell and when I say it, I totally mean it.

Well, I had a great readathon and I am pumped to read more like this. I want to shut down from the internet and just read like I used to.

So I think that’s it. It’s not like I didn’t create any posts. I was working on 3 posts at night time while watching Full House. They are rather lengthy posts just like this one. I know this post is very boring but hey!!! Imma make it good by adding some pictures I got from that cupboard.

My dad’s childhood photo.
My grandfather when he was young😍😍😍.
My grandfather 2 days before he died.

So there it is people, it’s 4 pm in the evening when I am posting thi. The best thing that I found in that tiny cupboard and I would proudly like to inform you that my cupboard is neat and clean and now I would like to take your leave and inform you to follow me on my goodreads account.

  1. Well you certainly read a lot during your time away, as well as doing all that tidying.
I cut the grass, finished the book I had to review, and wrote the review. Got the grocery shopping for the week too.
And wrote my blog posts of course, as well as Ollie’s walks. 🙂 🙂
Did you miss my video post of Ollie walking around? I think you did!

      1. You Tube makes its own rules, unfortunately.
The book was quite good, a father/son road trip through America. The author liked my review, and sent me a personal email. xx

        1. YouTube made me miss a video of Ollie 😒😒. That’s kind of a good concept for a book. It must be quite emotional and touching right?? Well, look who wrote the interview!!! He was supposed to like it. You are a genius at writing pete. You deserve all the credit and praises you get. ❤✌😊
