INDIA ON COVID-19 || COVID-19 UPDATE.

Good morning people. How are you all?? How’s corona?? Is it still traumatizing you?? Well, India has learnt how to fight it…actually India has learnt how to overlook it. I haven’t been writing or commenting on any Covid-19 posts basically trying to avoid anything related to it because I got my news reporting mom. To be honest she should be a journalist. Too much reporting of news. Well, I had thought of informing you all the state of India so here I am with today’s special post about Coronavirus. So without any further ado let me step by step take you to all the things going on in India. Let’s go, shall we??

So as we all know Coronavirus is spreading all around the world and killing many people. It’s hard to avoid the news when the only news you get is ‘coronavirus killed these many people in these many countries.’ So I will first start off with telling you about the cases in India.

Cases In India.

There are 39,980 cases in India out of which 10,633 have recovered and 1,301 have died. The highest number of cases are from Maharashtra and Gujarat. Maharashtra, my dear friends, is a state consisting of slums and posh areas. The biggest slum in the whole world called ‘Dharavi‘ is located in Maharashtra making the population of Maharastra 122 Million. The number of coronavirus cases reported in Maharastra has crossed the 12,000 mark reaching 12, 296 cases with 521 deaths.

The second-highest state reporting coronavirus cases is Gujarat. Gujarat has a population of 65 Million where most of the cases are coming from Ahmedabad that has 8.8 Million population. The number of cases of coronavirus in Gujarat is 5,054 cases with 262 deaths wherein only Ahmedabad consists of 3000 cases and 149 deaths.

The other states are doing a little better than these 2 states so kudos to them. I can’t talk about all states because they are too many. So let’s go off to my family’s state.

My Family during Quarantine.

My family is handling quarantine really nicely. We have little savings and they are going well too. We have been cleaning up the house as my parents’ restaurant is closed and we have major issues regarding the restaurants future. We all are managing well and my parents go out once a month to buy groceries. We live in Ahmedabad city where the virus is spreading like fire. We have been getting cases from all neighbouring areas and also from my area. There are very few cases from my area but the cases covering my house’s area are in RED ALERT ZONE. Bridges are sealed, shops are closed. It’s been 2 months since I stepped out of my house. I am not even allowed to step outside in the balcony because of being an ex-cancer patient and having terrible immunosuppression where my immunity is that of the size of a peanut. But we all are handling good and have elaborate stock of food, medicine and other basic resources like BOOKS. I can at last complete by saying we are alive and somehow healthy.

India During Quarantine.

India is holding up ok. The state of India is not as worse as America but we are doing a lot less fine. Cases are coming out without symptoms of the virus. It means that you may not have an idea that you are Covid-19 positive unless you are tested or perhaps dead. The public is kept in their houses by beating them up or by enforcing hard rules because Indians are a tough nut to crack. The police, doctors and nurses, health workers, cleaners are showered with flowers by the army helicopters flying in the sky just to thank and honour them for putting their lives in danger for the country.

The best part of coronavirus pandemic is that Hindus and Muslims in India are coming together. I feel so good seeing videos of Hindu and Muslims coming together as Indians and fighting against this virus. I am so happy with this little unity coming between the religions. Muslims and Hindus have fought each other for years and now they are working together. I think this is the only good thing that has happened since Covid-19. India is doing plasma surgeries and I think they are doing well. Many medicines and home remedies are being suggested to Indians to avoid Covid-19 that includes:

  • Drink warm water.
  • Eat a healthy balanced diet.
  • Avoid sweet and cold food.
  • Drink turmeric milk.
  • Drink warm lemon water.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Eat more carbs and proteins.
  • Avoid going out and use sanitizers as much as you can.
  • Sanitizers should have a minimum of 60% alcohol.

Cases are increasing day by day and India is trying it’s best to fight it.

Lastly I will tell all the Indians this,

My dear Indian brothers and sisters, India defeated Alexander the Great then who is Covid-19?? Be strong. We can defeat this together.

And to all my other friends around the world,

Stay Strong. We are in this together. We will fight this and win this no matter what. Remember United We Stand and Divided We Fall. Stay at Home and take precautionary measures. I have provided you with some of the measures that I have, use them and Be Safe.

So that’s it for today. I won’t be doing much of Coronavirus posts because I tend to stay away from these depressing matters. Stay Strong people. Stay safe. Remember we are in this together as a big family. Keep me informed about your country’s condition and how you are coping up to it.

  2. Thanks for the interesting information about both your country, and the situation of your family. Britain now has over 30,000 deaths, in a country of much smaller land size and population. I hope that the strict measures taken by your government, and your sensible personal precautions keep you safe and well, dear Suzan.
And I didn’t know your family had a restaurant, so I hope that is able to bounce back once this is all over.
Best wishes as always, Pete. xx

Our restaurant won’t open until 31st October so we have to think what we can do because our savings are little and problems more.

      Stay Safe❤✌😊

  6. I’m glad you and your family remain well. I hope you’ll be able to reopen your restaurant. The death toll is over 71,000 people here in the U.S. and is expected to grow exponentially in the coming weeks with so many states opening back up.

    1. I don’t think we might not reopen the restaurant ever again because we already can’t open until October so by that time all our savings will be over. I hope everything gets better soon. This year is a disaster. How is everything now?? 😞
