Hello, my pretty (somebody has been watching the Wizard of Oz😜). How are you today morning?? Everything cool?? I am back with yet another post but this one will be rather short and sweet cause I will just be explaining to you how I got to interview Sandhya Menon. With the “Stuff” going around us, we need a break, don’t we?? Well, guess what?? I am giving you one. Join me in this yellow and Golden Road to see the Great Wizard Of Oz (my great achievement). You didn’t understand, right?? Ok, I will stop boring you and without any further ado, let’s start, shall we??
First thing’s first; your question of why I haven’t been blogging for 4 days will get answered right now. So here is the answer.
I am extremely sorry for being MIA. I had no choice as our Wi-Fi broke down. Since the last 4 days, we were suffering. The first 2 days it was lagging and I couldn’t load my WordPress account then it just poofed away. I have been managing my life by borrowing net from my dad because I don’t do net plans on my phone (which I think I will have to do now). My dad wouldn’t give me much MBS because he was worried that the Wi-Fi might not come back. He told me not to blog and avoid writing and downloading books until he got a bigger plan for the internet done in my phone.
Ok, there’s the answer. We just got the Wi-Fi back this morning and I started writing as soon as I could. I might get MIA again and again if this doesn’t stop. Although the Wi-Fi does look fixed now. It is working better and faster than before but this is India, my dear friends, nothing stays for long. I did read a lot so this Bookish Friday is going to be AH-MAZING 😍😍😍.
Now back to the major part of this post.
What happened??
Well, she happened. I know that’s not your answer but to be honest I thought all authors were arrogant because I have had a row with one of them (not mentioning that person’s name). I usually only used to like Sandhya Menon’s post but never comment (scared of getting humiliated or insulted) but she used to answer to almost all comments on her Instagram. One day I got the courage to comment and well she answered. I was so happy. She was really kind and sweet.
She then put out the news that her new book, ‘Make Up and Break Up’ is coming out. I shared it, she shared my story and I thanked her and told her I love her books and the chats started. I politely (scared to hell when I did) asked her if she could give me an interview for my blog and SHE SAID YESS.
She gave me her email id. I was in exams during those days so I told her I couldn’t email her the questions and the lady was so polite she told me to take my own time to send her the question and not to worry about anything. She won my heart. She really did.
After exams, I sent her the email full of 10 questions and she answered them. Not only that I had also requested an autograph and I GOT THAT TOO!!!! I must say this although it looks like I am buttering her. But if she reads this, I just want her to know that there are very few authors as sweet as her. I can’t put the autograph here as it can get stolen or a copyright issue can pop up so I will just show you a small part of it. 😁
I had to blur some of it to avoid problems. I am so glad and honoured to have met her and interviewed her. She is a lady of grace, class and great kindness.
The interview will be published in 2 days if I don’t get MIA again. I am sorry for the delay. I am having some problems coping with this quarantined life but the good news is I am getting back on track.
