DIWALI PHOTOS FROM A FRIEND’S HOUSE. || DIWALI SPECIAL.

This is a special after Diwali blog. I recently got some Diwali photos from my best friend, Nupur. She is a Hindu and she celebrated Diwali with her family. So I requested her to allow me to show the photos to you all. Nah… I didn’t request, we don’t request each other…we abuse. 😉

So allow me to show you how Diwali is made.

Hello and welcome to my blog: Magical BookLush.

Today we will see the photos that came from my best friend. These photos mainly consist of lighting and the designs made by colour.

This has 2 reasons;

1. I can’t show you my friend’s and her family’s photographs. In India, we don’t like showing people about our lifestyle. The ancient people say that we may get the ‘evil eye’ this evil eye comes from people admiring others beauty and lifestyle. So we Indians avoid this kind of revealing stuff.

2. Diwali is called the festival of lighting. As you will see in the pictures below, the way the whole house is decorated with lighting. My friend avoided real diya lighting (the real fire lighting) because they have kids in the house and those kids could get hurt. But you can see how nicely and beautifully the house is decorated. This is called real Diwali.

Rangoli (design of colours) is made on Diwali, as it is believed that drawing in front of the entrance door or in the puja room, signifies the welcoming of goddess Laxmi and guests inside the house. For Indians, even the water is sacred.

This is not a lie, people in India are an artist but still, I didn’t know that monkey knew how to make such beautiful rangolis.
